How to pay

Paying for your journey on the M6 Toll couldn't be easier

For each journey on the M6 Toll, you'll pass through one Toll Plaza, either on the M6 Toll, or at a junction. As you approach the Toll Plaza, you'll see a number of signs indicating how and where to pay. There are five options available as to How to Pay.  These are by:-

Credit or Debit Card (unattended lane - Visa, Mastercard, Amercian Express and Maestro cards are accepted - receipts available)

Fuel Card (unattended lane - TOTALCARD and EUROTRAFIC - non-VAT receipts available)

Tag (electronic pre-payment method - cruise through the Tag lane without the need to stop)

Coins (unattended lane - correct fare only* - receipts available) *1p, 2p or 5p pieces are not accepted

Cash (attended lane - Euros accepted - receipts available)

Each toll lane will display either a green arrow to show that it's open,

Please note that the way the individual toll lanes are operated changes and will not necessarily be the same on your next visit. This is because sometimes we open and close different lanes in the same Toll Plaza depending on how busy the road is or what time of day it is.

Once you've made your payment, the barrier will open, when the barrier is fully open a green light will appear and you can proceed. Not all lanes will offer all methods of payments, so some lanes will show different symbols at different times. Please make sure you choose the lane with the method of payment that you wish to use.
