M6toll Reminder to Play Safe, Stay Safe

MEL is highlighting that even a small object dropped or thrown from a bridge could cause severe damage if it were to hit a vehicle.

James Hodson, Head of Motorway Operations at MEL said: "The safety of everyone using the motorway is our prime concern".

"It's often children and teenagers who commit crimes such as throwing objects from bridges and they do not fully understand the dangers this poses to the travelling public. We appeal to parents and people in the locality for their support to stop these offences being committed".

The M6toll is part of the UK motorway network and as such national speed limits are enforced by the police.
