M6toll Jam Dodgers – Run for Home

The teams, all 210 of them, were bussed to a mystery location, which turned out to be Cirencester, early yesterday (23rd) morning where they had to complete a treasure hunt. On completion of the treasure hunt they had to 'Run for Home' via a checkpoint in Studley and across the finish line at Edgbaston Cricket Ground.

Jamie Burrows of Hall Green, Birmingham, Bill Humphrey of Rugeley, Rebecca Jackson of Cradley Heath and Louise Shorthouse of Tamworth who made up the M6 Toll team managed to hitch a lift on a coach and with members of the public to the checkpoint and crossed the finish line, cramped, but in style, in a Mercedes Coupe!

Rebecca Jackson said: "We finished 16th out of the 210 teams which was a magnificent effort.

"We'd like to thank everyone who helped us on our journey back to Birmingham, in particular Pauline from Bishops Cleeve, Peter from the Teddington Arms and Peter from Hall Green. A big thank you also goes to the people of Cirencester for their understanding in having over 800 crazy people descend on them on a peaceful Sunday morning."
