New Chairman for Midland Expressway Limited

Midland Expressway Limited (MEL) operate the 27-mile M6toll road, Britain's first privately funded motorway which bypasses the most congested section of the M6.

Nick Paul is currently Chairman of Advantage West Midlands.  During his time at AWM, he has made a strong contribution to the work of the Regional Development Agency, boosting productivity and creating jobs and prosperity for those people living in the West Midlands.  He has an extensive international manufacturing background and up until the start of 2001 he was Deputy Chief Executive of IMI Plc.  He is also currently Chairman of Tricorn Group Plc and is a non-executive Director of Severn Valley Railway (Holdings) Plc.

Speaking about the appointment, Tom Fanning MEL Chief Executive said "I am delighted that Nick has accepted the Board's invitation to become Chairman of Midland Expressway Limited.  His local knowledge and considerable business acumen will be a asset."
