M6toll scores for Boldmere Falcons u7’s with £500 donation

Staff from Midland Expressway Ltd (MEL) visited the Boldmere Falcons u7s football team this week after providing them with sponsorship towards new kits, jackets and training equipment for the whole team.

The Boldmere Sports and Social Club is a local community, self-funded club based in Sutton Coldfield. The club which was founded in 1974 provides football pitches for 370 boys and girls, all teams are part play in the Central Warwickshire Youth Football League.

To assist the club with their ongoing commitment to young people MEL, operators of the M6toll have kindly sponsored the team’s new kits and rain jackets.

Jo Brett, CEO Assistant at MEL said: “This donation means a great deal to me as my close friend’s son plays for the Boldmere Falcons u7’s.  I was delighted to hear that our Social Committee had agreed to support the club following my recommendation.  MEL are extremely keen on supporting projects in which the local community can benefit.”

Andy Martin, Team Manager added:  “We are delighted to have gained a partnership with the M6toll, their sponsorship enabled us to buy new weatherproof jackets for the boys and also some much needed training equipment. We hope our partnership can continue long into the future.”

This donation forms part of a wider initiative to support local schools and community projects.

MEL's Social Committee will be working closely with members of staff to choose those community projects close to their hearts which will benefit from a donation from the remaining £20,000 Drive for Charity fund over the next 12 months.

MEL's Social Committee is always on the lookout for local charities and community projects to support.
