M6toll back Sutton Coldfield Cancer Support Centre

M6toll are proud to offer their support to The Cancer Support Centre in Sutton Coldfield to fund their meditation classes for the year.

Members of the Social Committee at Midland Expressway Ltd (MEL), operators of the M6toll, recently visited the support centre to present the cheque for £750 which will be utilised to cover the costs of running their popular weekly meditation classes.

The Centre's aim is to work alongside the local health services, hospices and other cancer charities so that people affected by cancer in Birmingham and the West Midlands will have access to Support, Information and Complementary Therapies free of charge at every stage of their cancer journey.

Patricia Brighton, Fundraising Trustee of the Cancer Support Centre Sutton Coldfield said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the M6toll for very generously donating funds to the CSC which will fund our weekly Meditation classes that are given free of charge to anyone that uses the centre for the next year. We have found that mediation helps our clients enormously helping them with sleep and relaxation positivity which is so very important at every stage of their cancer journey.”

Alan West, MEL social committee member added: “We at MEL take great pleasure in supporting the centre in enabling them to continue their meditation courses. Meditation is a natural state of mind, allowing people to take time away from all the stresses and strains in life. The Centre truly provides a ‘place of sanctuary and support’ to numerous local people affected by cancer.”
