Rooms with pedigree all ready for Crufts
A leading local hotel is putting the finishing touches to its rooms in anticipation of its VIP guests (Very Important Pooches) and their well-behaved owners in the days before Crufts begins.
The Days Inn dog friendly hotel, based at the Roadchef motorway service area on the M6toll at Norton Canes, Staffordshire, has brought in extra dog bowls and treats ready for the annual influx of Crufts hopefuls who will be stopping over for the world’s most famous dog show which begins on Thursday at the NEC.
Last year, more than 40 dogs stayed at the accommodation, with 52 booked in to stay this year. With Roadchef investing over £4m in its Norton Canes site this year – which has seen a new McDonald’s recently open – visitors should have their most comfortable stay yet.
James Hodson, Director of Motorway Operations and Facilities for Midland Expressway Limited, said: “Fingers-crossed, we’re hoping to accommodate this year’s supreme champion in style and are fully prepared on site with lots of treats and dog-friendly facilities.”
Simon Turl, CEO of Roadchef, added: “We’re delighted that Days Inn is the chosen place for so many Crufts participants to stay during the competition. It’s great that they, along with their owners, return year after year to use our facilities. This year we’ve added some canine-friendly features to our room to make their stay even more comfortable. Our team look forward to welcoming them to our site every year and we’re excited to hopefully meet the 2016 winner later this week.”
