M6toll – Essential Roadworks

29th and 30th June 2017

Access from the northbound M6 Toll to the A5195 at junction T6 northbound exit slip will be closed overnight (21:00 to 06:00) on the 29th and 30th June by Midland Expressway Ltd for essential street lighting repair works. A clearly signed diversion route will be provided along the M6 Toll  via the Motorway Service Area back to junction T6.

The diversion route will lengthen your journey by 3.9 miles and approximately 4 minutes in free flow conditions.

Access to the M6 Toll at junction T6 northbound and southbound entry slip roads will be closed overnight (21:00 to 06:00) on the 29th and 30th of June by Midland Expressway Ltd for essential street lighting repair works works. A clearly signed diversion route for the northbound carriageway will be provided along the A5, A460 and M6 to M6 J11A northbound. A clearly signed diversion route for the southbound carriageway will be provided along the A5 southbound to the M6 Toll at junction T4.

The diversion route northbound will lengthen your journey by 1.1 miles and approximately 7 minutes in free flow conditions. The diversion route southbound will lengthen your journey by 0.5 miles and approximately 7 minutes in free flow conditions.


28th June- 26th July 2017

Access to the M6 Toll at junction T1 northbound entry slip will be closed overnight (20:00 to 06:00) from 28th June to the 26th July by Kier for essential carriageway re-surfacing works on Dunton Island.

A clearly signed diversion route will be provided along the A4097 and A38 to the M6 Toll at junction T3 northbound if approaching from Minworth along Kingsbury road (A4097.) The diversion route will lengthen your journey by 2 miles and approximately 4 minutes in free flow conditions.

If approaching from Coleshill along the A446, a clearly signed diversion route will be provided along the A446, M6 northbound, A452, A4097 and A38 to the M6 Toll at junction T3. The diversion route will lengthen your journey by 12.3 miles and approximately 22 minutes in free flow conditions.

A diversion route will be clearly sign posted if approaching from Kingsbury along the A4097. This will be via the A4097, Piccadilly Way, Trinity Way and the A5 to the M6 Toll at junction T4. The diversion route will lengthen your journey by 6.1 miles and approximately 14 minutes in free flow conditions.

10th-14th July and 17th- 21st July

Access to the M42 at junction 7a (M6 Toll/M42 southbound diverge) via the M6 Toll southbound will be closed overnight (22:00 to 06:00) by a Highways England contractor to facilitate essential carriageway re-surfacing works. A clearly signed diversion route for the M42 southbound will be provided from the M6 Toll junction T2 along the A446, A452 and A45 onto the M42 at J6.
