Benefits
Dramatically reducing journey times through the West Midlands
Faster journeys and less time spent in hold-ups reduce the number of lost man hours. Prior to the M6 Toll, gridlock was costing the West Midlands £2 billion per annum. The M6 Toll is cutting journey times around the West Midlands by up to 20 minutes on each journey according to a report published by the Highways Agency
- The M6 Toll relieves the M6 of volume which, in turn, relieves the local transport network and reduces congestion in towns and villages
- Reliable journey times reduce stress on motorists which, in turn, reduces the risk of accidents
- Free flowing traffic will result in safer driving conditions
- Safety is of vital importance and CCTV and emergency roadside telephones are all included on the M6 Toll
- The M6 Toll uses noise reducing asphalt, significantly reducing the environmental impact and providing a more comfortable journey for our customers
For those customers who want to take a break, they can enjoy a state of the art service area which is operated by RoadChef. This service area offers customers the chance to refuel, relax and even rest overnight in accommodation
