Free Passage on the M6toll

All Secondary Schools, Colleges and Sixth Form Academies in Staffordshire and Stoke, who own and maintain their own mini-bus, are eligible for free use of the M6toll for an initial period of one year (September 2018 - July 2019) by way of an M6toll Tag.

Tags are the M6toll's electronic pre-payment system. They're the easiest, most efficient way to pay, allowing you to pass through a dedicated tag lane, usually without the need to stop. A tag is a small self contained electronic device which fixes to your windscreen.

In order to receive a tag, qualifying secondary schools and colleges will be asked to fill in a short application to show evidence that the minibus is used for school/college use only, together with an estimation of annual usage on the M6toll. Upon receipt of this information, the Foundation will prepare a Tag and arrange for this to be sent out.

The M6toll Tag will entitle the secondary school/college to free, unlimited usage of the M6toll for an initial period of one year, in return for which the school must be agreeable to display an M6toll logo decal on the mini-bus.

The application process for 2018/19 has now closed.
