Revenue on the M6 Toll increased by 0.8% in the June quarter compared to pcp. Despite the favourable impact of Easter falling in April of 2009, and positive weekend traffic, Average Daily Traffic on the M6 Toll continued to be impaced by the weak UK economy and improved network capacity and has fallen 4.9% compared to pcp.
The pace of reduction is nonetheless decelerating noticeably. Monthly comparisons show a positive trend, preceding the summer months with traffic for June, (the strongest month this financial year), being 3% lower on pcp compared to a reduction during May of 7%, and an 11% reduction in the first quarter.
On 27 November 2008, the M6 Toll announced a new toll schedule which came into effect on 01 January 2009.
