At the M6toll we understand what is important to our Leisure Users. Whether travelling / touring on holiday; catching a plane, attending an event or gig or simply visiting friends or family, please see below relevant information which we hope will make your journey on the M6toll easier. Pricing

All prices are inclusive of VAT and you can save 5% per journey with the M6toll Tag.

The weekday price for our Class 2 (car) vehicle at mainline plazas is currently £5.50 (*£5.22 with a Tag), reducing to £4.80 (*£4.56 with a Tag) at the weekends and £3.80 (*£3.61 with a Tag) at night (23:00-06:00).

Touring customers are welcome on the M6toll and at our motorway service station at Norton Canes operated by Roadchef. If you are towing a caravan you will be charged as a Class 3 vehicle, motor caravans will normally be charged as a Class 4 vehicle, but please see our full Pricing Guide and Vehicle Classification for further information.

How to Pay

There are five payment options available.

  • We accept Credit or Debit Card (unattended lane - Visa, Mastercard, Amercian Express and Maestro cards are accepted - receipts available)

  • We accept Fuel Cards (unattended lane - TOTALCARD, EUROTRAFIC, KEYFUELS and EUROSHELL - non-VAT receipts available)
  • By Tag (electronic pre-payment method - cruise through the Tag lane without the need to stop - save money each journey you make)
  • With Coins (unattended lane - correct fare only - receipts available)
  • With Cash (attended lane - Euros notes accepted - receipts available)

If you are unfortunate enough to break down or run out of fuel on the M6toll, don't worry our Incident Support Units operate 24/7 and will be on hand to assist and get you on your way as quickly as possible.

Roadchef Norton Canes, Motorway Services Area

Located on the M6toll between Junctions T6 and T7 (servicing both sides of the motorway)

Both Midland Expressway Ltd and Roadchef understand the needs of our business users and have developed a range of facilities for business people on the move.

Roadchef Norton Canes MSA is open 24 hours a day 365 days a year with attended and safe HGV parking areas.  Whilst there is a charge for parking for stays in excess of 2 hours, why not take advantage of our current HGV offer; pay £20 for overnight parking and receive a £10 food voucher plus a free M6toll pass.
