Getting the Midlands moving
“We are a civil engineering company based in the West Midlands. In March, we started a project on the M6 smart motorway between junctions 11 to 13. “As most of our workforce live south of Birmingham, we decided to use the M6toll to increase efficiency. We feel it is a safer, quicker and more reliable way to travel than on the main M6. “With the traffic beginning to increase again post-lockdown, we will certainly be using the M6toll and support the Let’s Get The Midlands Moving campaign.”

“We are based in Hammerwich, four minutes from junction T6 on the M6toll. For us, the road is crucial as it saves us massive amounts of time and fuel on a daily basis. Time is such a valuable commodity, so any time saved has a huge value to the business. “On average we use the toll road 10-15 times a day, for both in and outbound traffic. Most of this can be oversize loads, which is no problem at T6 with the wide load lane, so that’s another benefit to us. “We have been using the M6toll since 2012 and will continue to use it. It’s important to get business up and running again, and a campaign such as this will help revive the region.”

“The M6toll is a real lifeline for us and the national network coverage it provides into key routes is very important to us. “In the early days of the lockdown, we saw a big surge in demand from clients such as Sainsbury’s as they responded to panic buying in their stores. “It meant we had to focus a lot of our staff and fleet to service this demand and they went above and beyond what was required to meet the challenge. We used the M6toll during this time and will continue to do so as we emerge out of lockdown, particularly given the increased amount of traffic on the region’s roads. “We fully support the Let’s Get The Midlands Moving campaign as it’s important to reboot the economy and get things back to normal as quickly as possible.”

“We are a removals firm based in Burntwood, Staffordshire and have always been big users of the M6toll. For us it has provided a fast and reliable route that means we can cut through the busy stretch of the Midlands’ motorway network. “This campaign is a fantastic way to help lead the way in getting businesses across the region back to where they need to be. We are fully behind this initiative – we all want to see the Midlands recover from this pandemic stronger and more resilient than ever before.”
