About the Opportunity

Midland Expressway Limited are looking to recruit a permanent Project Manager. Reporting to the Finance & Transformation Director, this role is required to own the full lifecycle of projects ranging from Process Improvement, System Implementation and Integration and also own and oversee the PMO tools and governance within which all company projects are managed.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of small to medium projects and have proven experience of:
• Creation of Project plans
• Risk and Issue Management
• Finance and cost control
• Resource and stakeholder management
• Benefits Management

The Project Manager will be confident in dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders and needs to adapt their style of management and leadership to each situation. The post-holder will have the personal and professional experience to build and manage meaningful and supportive relationships across the team to deliver successful projects. Whilst project management will take the majority of time there will be a requirement to own and manage the PMO toolkit and governance process.

Key activities, include;
• Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, at all levels within the organisation, to define and achieve mutual understanding of the scope.
• Listen for, uncover, and resolve misunderstandings or disagreements about the scope.
• Ensure all portfolio resources understand the scope as well as how it will affect other projects within the portfolio.
• Understand what constitutes an end-to-end, thorough cross-functional schedule for the project and involve stakeholders as appropriate to create a valid plan; be able to discuss risk areas and convey impacts to scope or costs if a shorter schedule is demanded.
• Plan the project(s) in sufficient detail to ensure integration of all activities, identification of cross-portfolio dependencies, and understanding of critical paths and key milestones.
• Obtain MLT and ELT approval of the plan through effective communication skills, ensuring thorough understanding of the plan, its implications on revenues, delivery dates, resources, and deliverables.
• Ensure a comprehensive budget is prepared, reflecting the plan and all resource needs.
• Manage the project(s) time, cost and quality activities
• Produce reports in line with the governance requirements of the portfolio.
• Ensure application of thorough risk and issue management across the project(s), instigate mitigation actions, identify contingency plans and manage items through to conclusion.
• Ensure effective communication to the project teams, internal and external stakeholders, partners, suppliers and customers.
• Conduct project meetings.
• Establish effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
• Maintain and update Programme & Project Management delivery Framework including governance, standards, risks/issues, reporting, tools and documentation
• Provide top-down visibility of the corporate portfolio, from major programmes to smaller initiatives
• Maintain and update a suite of key performance indicators, which include business benefits/ROI

Essential skills:
• Demonstrable knowledge of the Project Lifecycle, Project Methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Well-developed planning and personal organisational skills
• Ability to communicate appropriate, concise, and accurate information in written and verbal formats
• Willingness to challenge assumptions and ability to adapt or generate imaginative and innovative ideas
• Knowledge and experience of working within agreed project and change management governance frameworks
• Proven experience of delivering projects to time, cost, and quality

Desirable Skills;
• Prince 2 Practitioner or equivalent qualification in project and change management
• Good influencing /negotiation skills to work with business teams to agree scope, requirements, and priorities.
• Ability to convince others to your own point of view, to gain acceptance, support, and commitment
• Process Modelling and Business Process Management experience
• Risk and Issue Management experience
• High-level of IT literacy, proficient user of Microsoft Office 365 incl. Teams
• Proven track record of managing and deploying cloud / SaaS solutions.

You will join our experienced team maintaining the M6 toll road to the high standards our customers deserve.   

You will be responsible for;  

In addition, you will be reporting to the Area Technician and through network inspections deliver accurate information on asset.  You will also work closely with Health and Safety personnel to outline any potential hazards on the network and identifying risk with action plans to rectify and set dates for repair. This role is predominantly outdoors and you will work as part of a small team. 

We are looking for an individual who has a positive can-do attitude, who thrives on the challenges the role presents.  A reliable team player who recognises and supports the needs of the wider team.  A good listener and communicating skills are essential. 

Experience of motorway or trunk roads maintenance and a knowledge of traffic management is desirable.

We are looking for a keen individual to take care of our facilities and carry out cleaning duties, the goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition and notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.

The core element of the role will include: Cleaning at the six Toll plaza’s along the M6 Toll to

include offices, kitchen and rest rooms, toilets, internal and external toll booths and any other area

highlighted by the Engineering and facilities manager, disposing of all rubbish to our central

location.

The shifts will be Monday-Friday including any bank holidays.

emergency services. This role is predominantly outdoors, and you will work as part of small a team.

Experience of motorway or trunk roads maintenance and a knowledge of traffic management is desirable.

The position is based on an average of 42 hours per week; two 12-hour days followed by two 12-hour night shifts (4
on, 4 off), including weekends and Bank Holidays.

• You must have a full driving licence and your own transport.
• LGV category C2 and a current Driver Qualification Card

The Data and Reporting Analyst will support the development of the businesses Data, BI & Analytics capability. The role will have some responsibility for the development of Data Governance Framework, assist with the core Data & GDPR governance as well as the Azure Data Mart to Support Analytics (DMSA).

Key activities will include:
• Analyse business process, and recommend and implement changes to improve efficiency or accuracy
• Produce high quality business requirements.
• Identify key stakeholders and resources needed to deliver Data, BI & Analytics change initiatives.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives and work closely with Business Change to drive value through data.
• Deliver end to end traceability against quality business requirements and system/functional specifications.
• Act as a key Business Partner / SME for Data, BI & Analytics – working with the Business Change function and Departmental Managers.
• Aid in the project management of Data, BI & Analytics Projects.
• Aid in the establishment of a Master Data Governance Framework for key data domains including Customer, Product, Supplier & CoA.
• Maintain appropriate Data Policies in accordance with the DPO
