Our new, fairer pricing is based on where you join and leave the road. You can download a receipt once we’ve calculated and verified the final cost of your trip – usually a few hours after you’ve left the road.
To download a receipt, you will need the date of your journey, your Vehicle Registration Number and the last 4 digits of the card that you paid with. If you paid using Apple/Google pay the last 4 digits of your virtual card will be different to your physical card.

Your card issuer pre-authorises the maximum toll for your vehicle when you tap your card/device at the toll booth (this will appear as ‘pending’ in your banking App). The final amount charged may be less: this will be shown on your online receipt. The final price is calculated once you leave the road, which can take up to 48 hours if we need to manually check any images from our ANPR cameras.

As an added security measure, there are a growing number of banks which have their own virtual card. Please refer to your card issuer, if you’re unsure as to how to access your virtual card.
Why is my receipt not available to download immediately?
The price for your journey is now based on where you join and where you leave the road, making it fairer for everyone – the final price you pay being calculated once you leave the road.
As our toll plazas are not situated at the end of the road, we can no longer issue a receipt at the toll booth, as at this point our system hasn’t seen you leave the road.
It takes the system a few hours to calculate the final price automatically, although this can be up to 48 hours if we need to double-check any of the images from our ANPR cameras.
