Essential Roadworks

Please find below the latest roadworks updates.  Sometimes planned roadworks can be postponed, for example, if the weather is particularly bad, however, we will update this webpage should any changes occur.

19/05/2022

Access to the M6 Toll at junction T4 northbound and southbound entry slip will be closed overnight, between 21:00-06:00, for essential carriageway resurfacing. A clearly signed diversion route for the southbound will be provided along the A38 to the M6 Toll at T3 southbound entry slip. A clearly signed diversion route for the northbound will be provided along the A5 and A5127 to the M6 Toll at T5 northbound entry slip. Additional journey time The diversion route southbound will not lengthen the distance of your journey but take an additional 2 minutes in free flow conditions. The diversion route northbound will lengthen your journey by 0.2 miles and approximately 1 minute in free flow conditions.

Access from the M6 Toll to the A5 / A38 at junction T4 northbound exit slip will be closed overnight, between 21:00-06:00, for essential carriageway resurfacing. A clearly signed diversion route will be provided along the A38 to T4 northbound exit slip via T3 northbound exit slip. The diversion route will not lengthen the distance of your journey but will add approximately 4 minutes to your travel time in free flow conditions.

23/05/2022 – 31/05/2022

Access to the M6 Toll northbound from the M6 will be closed overnight, between 21:00-06:00, by a National Highways Contractor to facilitate carriageway repair works. A clearly signed diversion route will be provided along the M6 to J4, then the A446 to M42 J9/ T1 northbound. The diversion route will lengthen the distance of your journey by 0.7 miles and 6 minutes in free flow traffic conditions.
