Midland Expressway Limited (M6toll) have an exciting opportunity for a Head of ITS and Tolling systems to join the Company at an exciting time of transformation. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join the Company as the Head of ITS and Tolling Systems.
This newly created role will oversee all strategy, governance, architecture, and operations for both Tolling and ITS Systems. You will ensure strong operational performance while supporting digital solutions that drive our business growth and shareholder value.
The role involves leading the ITS and tolling systems teams and defining and implementing the IT, Cyber, and Digital roadmap to ensure we have robust capabilities in Tolling and ITS Systems, Cybersecurity, IT Service Management, Cloud, Communications & Infrastructure, Tolling Services, Digital, Data & Analytics, and Business Applications.
A significant part of the role will be driving the improvement programme for our recently implemented tolling system, optimising processes and technical architecture, and managing our critical supplier contract.
You will participate in the design and concept of the future tolling system, taking into consideration free-flow tolling. Working closely with our Business Development team to design and implement innovative digital products and services that align with our business strategy and drive growth in account-based customer engagement you will lead and align on IT strategies, solutions, and services. You will be involved in preparing and controlling budgets, managing contracts, in addition to updating and optimising the long-term plan.
We are looking for a business leader with proven experience in senior Systems leadership, including responsibility for maintenance and IT teams, services, contracts, and projects. The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, data & analytics platforms, cloud, and telecommunications systems and Tolling operating systems and maintenance of a highly available road side equipment and back office system. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organisation are essential, as is proven, strong leadership in a similar role which is essential.
