Motorway Operative

Full time, 42 hours per week (Including Nights and Days)

Salary Circa; 33k – 38.5k

 

Midland Expressway Limited are looking to recruit a permanent, reliable, Motorway Operative into their team. You will join our experienced team maintaining the M6 toll road to the high standards our customers deserve. You will be responsible for carrying out routine highway maintenance as well as assisting our customers and the emergency services. This role is predominantly outdoors, and you will work as part of small a team.

We are looking for an individual who has a positive can-do attitude, who thrives on the challenges the role presents. A reliable team player who recognises and supports the needs of the wider team. A good listener and communicating skills are essential.

Experience of motorway or trunk roads maintenance and a knowledge of traffic management is desirable.

The position is based on an average of 42 hours per week; two 12-hour days followed by two 12-hour night shifts (4 on, 4 off), including weekends and Bank Holidays.

Essential Skills;

• You must have a full driving licence and your own transport.

• LGV category C2 and a current Driver Qualification Card

It would be advantageous if the candidate holds the following skills/qualifications.

• Winter maintenance qualification

• 12AB Traffic management qualification

• HGV category C licence.
