M6toll Celebrates Prestigious Recognition at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s 35th Anniversary Awards
M6toll is celebrating a proud moment in its long standing strategic partnership with Midlands Air Ambulance Charity after receiving a special honour at the charity’s 35th Anniversary Saving Lives Charity Ball and Recognition Awards.
Held on Friday 25th September at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, the event marked an incredible milestone for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, which has spent the last 35 years providing lifesaving pre hospital emergency care to patients across the Midlands.
M6toll has proudly supported the charity for more than two decades, helping to raise more than £500,000 to keep the charity’s helicopters airborne and its critical care crews ready to respond when every second counts.
Over the years, the partnership has extended far beyond fundraising, with M6toll actively supporting a range of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity campaigns, awareness initiatives and community engagement activities.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, M6toll was honoured with the 35th Anniversary Beacon Award, which recognises an extraordinary individual or group connected to the charity who serves as a source of inspiration and pride.
The award, sponsored by Babcock, was presented to Michael Whelan (M6toll General Manager) and the wider M6toll team, recognising the company’s unwavering commitment to supporting the charity over many years.
Michael Whelan, General Manager at M6toll said:
“Safety is number one for us. Knowing that we have the support of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, who are experts in responding to critical incidents, is incredibly comforting for us, our customers and the wider community.
We’ve raised more than half a million pounds for the charity already and it’s hugely rewarding to know that every penny is helping to save lives.
We’re tremendously proud to support Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. We’ve seen significant growth over the last 20 years and we know that it can grow further. so we’re going to support them for as long as we possibly can.”
Maxine Bate, Communications Manager at the M6toll added:
“Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has truly become part of the M6toll family and it’s a partnership that I am personally very proud to be part of.”
The relationship between M6toll and Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has become one of the organisation’s longest standing and most valued charitable partnerships. The charity’s crews provide a vital service across the region, helping patients who have suffered serious trauma or medical emergencies by delivering advanced care at the scene when it is needed most.
Receiving the Beacon Award during the charity’s landmark 35th anniversary year is a fitting recognition of a partnership built on shared values, community support and a commitment to keeping people safe.
