M6toll Marks 19 Years of Support for Ride to the Wall
M6toll is once again backing one of the UK’s most significant motorcycle events, as thousands of riders prepare to take part in Rideto the Wall on Saturday 3 October.
For the 19th consecutive year, Midland Expressway Limited (MEL), operators of the M6toll, will provide free passage for registered Ride to the Wall participants travelling to the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas.
The annual event brings together motorcyclists from across the UK and beyond to honour the service and sacrifice of military personnel who have lost their lives while serving their country. What began as a small gathering has grown into a nationally recognised act of remembrance, attracting thousands of riders and supporters each year.

“Ride to the Wall has become a special part of our calendar and we’re incredibly proud to be supporting the event for the 19th year. It is a powerful demonstration of remembrance, respect and community, and we’re delighted to play a small part in helping thousands of riders safely reach the National Memorial Arboretum.”
Around 2,000 bikers are expected to use the M6toll on the day, saving participants thousands of pounds in toll charges while helping traffic flow efficiently on their journey to the National Memorial Arboretum.
Registered bikers will pass through T5 (Shenstone) and T6 (Burntwood) toll plazas between 9.30am and 11.00am. To help ensure a smooth journey, wide-load lanes will be clearly marked on the approach to both plazas. Organisers are also asking riders to avoid exiting at T4 (Weeford) to minimise congestion.

“We simply couldn’t host Ride to the Wall at this scale without the continued support of M6toll. With seven of our 12 official routes relying on the M6toll for safe and reliable travel to the National Memorial Arboretum , their backing is absolutely vital. Thanks to their generosity, thousands of riders can take part without the burden of toll costs. We ask all participants to familiarise themselves with the routes and follow instructions from our marshals to ensure everyone arrives safely.”
As thousands of riders make their annual journey of reflection and remembrance, M6toll is proud to continue its long-standing support of an event that brings together people from all walks of life to honour those who gave so much.
