The M6toll is proud to support Dave Day 2026: The Last Ride Home, marking the final chapter of the much-loved event honouring the late Hairy Biker Dave Myers. This poignant final ride will see thousands from the motorcycle community come together once more to celebrate Dave’s life and raise vital funds for charity.

On Saturday 20th June, the M6toll will provide free passage for expected convoy participants travelling as part of the official Dave Day route. This gesture will ensure riders can journey safely and smoothly through the Midlands as they make their way towards Dave’s hometown of Barrow-in-Furness for this final tribute.

Bikers will gather at the National Motorcycle Museum near the M42 for the third leg of their trip, before heading north. At the M6toll’s Great Wyrley mainline plaza, dedicated traffic management will be in place, with lane 1 coned off to allow bikers to pass safely via the wide load lane, supporting a seamless convoy experience.

To minimise disruption for customers, all remaining lanes at Great Wyrley will display a green arrow and will be temporarily free of charge while the cavalcade passes, allowing customers to breeze through with minimal delay.

Organisers of Dave Day are aiming to raise over £150,000, with proceeds split equally between Childline and a local cause close to Dave’s hometown.

Maxine Bate, Communications Manager at M6toll, commented: “We’re incredibly proud to support Dave Day: The Last Ride Home and help riders get to Barrow safely and smoothly. It’s a fantastic cause, and we’re delighted to provide an alternative reliable route making the journey through the region easier for all involved.”

Dave Day lead rider Jason ‘Woody’ Woodcock added: “The support from M6toll is incredibly generous and will make a real difference to the safety and experience of everyone taking part. This final ride is about remembering Dave and others lost to cancer, and coming together one last time for something truly special.”

Dave Day 2026: The Last Ride offers one last opportunity to be part of something truly special — a moment of unity, remembrance, and generosity on a national scale.
