The M6toll runs for 27 miles, from the M6 (Junction 3a)/ the M42 (Junction 9) and through the Midlands, re-joining the M6 at Junction 11a (near Cannock).

Approaching a toll plaza

When approaching an M6toll plaza, the overhead symbols will direct you to the appropriate lane for your method of payment.

Please familiarise yourself with our TAG and card lane symbols.

Do not enter a lane marked with a red X, as this lane is closed.

We operate a traffic light system. This is the same system that Highways England operates on all UK Roads where a red light means they expect the driver to stop. The traffic light is the indicator to whether payment has been accepted or not. If the light remains on red there is an assistance button you can press to speak to an operator.
